Advanced CO2 Recovery Technology (Gas Separation Membrane) Project

The RITE Chemical Research Group has been developing CO2 molecular gate membranes for CO2 separation and capture from syngas in integrated gasification combined-cycle (IGCC) processes. CO2 molecular gate membranes block the permeation of hydrogen gas through the quasi-crosslinking of CO2 in the membrane. Therefore, this membrane exhibits significantly higher CO2 selectivity than conventional polymer membranes.
