Projects

SIP project

This project for the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) started in 2013 and became a new project for SIP in July, 2014. We are developing H2-permselective membranes, such as silica membranes prepared by a counter-diffusion chemical vapor deposition (CVD) method, zeolite membranes and palladium alloy membranes for the production and separation of H2 from H2-carriers, such as methylcyclohexane and ammonia. This work has been carried out in collaboration with Hiroshima University, Yamaguchi University, Utsunomiya University, Kogakuin University and the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST). Additionally, we are conducting research on a method for calculating pore size distributions in H2-permselective membranes as well as process design using H2-permselective membranes and membrane reactors.
