Analysis of emission reduction under new scenario trends including IPCC AR5

We analyzed and evaluated long-term possibility of global GHG emission pathways using a model approach in accord with the latest IPCC report and data. Among them we also analyzed 2030 global emission pathways from a viewpoint of international equity. For Japan we analyzed and evaluated economic impacts of difference among nuclear power scenarios because of the uncertain prospect of nuclear power.

These analyses have implications towards emission reduction target beyond 2020 (around 2030) on which active discussion will be anticipated from now. (released on April 11, 2014)

Commentary on the implication of WG3 AR5 by explaining a relationship between RITE long-term emission pathways estimates and IPCC WG3 AR5 pathways. (released on April 12, 2014)

Supplementary comment on the interpretation of analysis regarding energy technology utilization (released on May 2, 2014)
