We will hold "International Workshop -Towards improved understanding, concepts, policies and models of energy demand-." Call for young researchers

The Special Report on Global Warming of 1.5℃ was approved by Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change(IPCC) and published on October, 2018. A Low Energy Demand (LED) scenario which was mainly developed by International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA) in accompany with the technological progress such as AI and social changes, was presented on the report and attracted attention. However, at present, the quantitative and comprehensive analysis has not been sufficiently performed.

Therefore, in order to realize a virtuous cycle of environment and economic growth, it is extremely important to gather experts and discuss deeply the opportunity and challenges of scenario and to find the future direction while studying, analyzing and evaluating new technology innovation on demand side, which influence to the social change and CO2 emission reduction.

Thus, we will hold an international workshop called "Towards Improved Understanding, Concepts, Policies and Models of Energy Demand" from November 11th to 13th, 2019 at IIASA, Austria.

We are looking for young researchers (Post Doctor, Academic Institute, etc.) who can be a potential leader and can join this workshop to accompany experts in the energy demand filed. You will have an excellent opportunity to meet the world's leading researchers and gain valuable experience.
